What are YOU doing for Valentines Day?
Since Scott and I just spent an entire week away from home, we’re laying low tonight.
Making up our 12-mile run…a trip to the grocery store…and catching up with our DVR sounds just about right to us.
Maybe I can even sneak a chocolate or two into our grocery cart…
Wishing you and yours a Happy Valentines!

You might have noticed my posting schedule has been a little off lately. Scott and I just got back from a week in Philly and New York last night.
While up there, we scouted out possible opportunities and areas. This trip was just what we needed to decipher what we are and aren’t interested in for our future endeavors, and I’m so glad we made the trip to see each team.

I was excited to see what the 76ers were all about and showed it by sporting my red and white stripes.
You see, the team is going back to it’s patriotic routes and are in the middle of a lot of changes. What’s old is new again, and since last season, they’ve been sporting the original logo and team colors:
On our way to the game, we stopped at a great Belgium cafe called Le Pain Quotidien. I was loving this place since everything was made fresh, offering organic, vegan and gluten-free options.
Scott and I split a Ham & Cheese Tortine,
and I marveled over my Organic Soy Chai Latte.
They serve all of their beverages in bowls, and for some reason this really intrigued me.
We also really loved the family style seating in the middle of the restaurant.
Before we knew it, it was time to be picked up by Scott’s friend, Chris, and head out. Chris is part of the Raymond Entertainment Group and Scott took this opportunity to check out the Philadelphia 76ers entertainment and game environment with him.
I guess you could say we were excited (and a little intense?)
We grabbed the infamous “you have to try these” Chickie’s & Petes Crab Fries and made our way up to our seats.
The seasoning and white cheese dip combo made it completely worth it.
Here we are, ready for a Sixers and Spurs showdown:
The game was great and I was genuinely entertained by everything going on. Of course, I had two entertainment critics in my ears, but from what I saw I thought the 76ers ran a pretty good show.
The intros were good:
The dancers were sharp and energetic:
they had talented and adorable Mini Dancers:
and the Flight Squad was impressive!
The team was off to a great start and the crowd really got into it by the second quarter.
I still can’t believe how awesome, yet unknown this guy is.
We had a great time and enjoyed the Sixers environment.
